However, we understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. Our Returns & Exchanges policy is designed with the same precision as our fly tying to ensure a smooth process for our fellow anglers.

Who Can Return Items

Our policy applies to customers who purchased directly from flytackleco.com within the last 15 days of receiving their order. Products must be in original condition with all tags attached and packaging intact.

Note: For hygiene and safety reasons, Fly Line & Tippets and any opened Flies and Fly Tying materials cannot be returned unless defective.

Return Process

  1. Initiate Your Return: Email our customer service team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and details about the item you wish to return or exchange.
  2. Wait for Authorization: Our team will review your request and provide return authorization and instructions within 2 business days.
  3. Package Your Item: Securely pack the item in its original packaging with all accessories and documentation.
  4. Ship Your Return: Send the package to our Nashville facility using a trackable shipping method. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.
  5. Inspection & Processing: Once received, our team will inspect the item within 3-5 business days and process your refund or exchange.

Refund Timeline & Methods

Refunds will be processed within 5 business days after we receive and inspect your return. The refund will be issued to your original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 3-10 business days depending on your bank
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days

Original shipping fees are non-refundable. For exchanges, we’ll ship the replacement item once the return is processed.

Exchange Policy

We’re happy to exchange items for a different size or color, subject to availability. Follow the standard return process and specify your desired exchange item in your email. If the exchange item costs more, you’ll need to pay the difference. If it costs less, we’ll refund the difference.

Defective or Incorrect Items

International Returns

For international returns (excluding Asia and certain remote areas), you are responsible for all return shipping costs and any applicable customs fees. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and declaring the package as a “Returned Good” with minimal value to reduce customs fees.
